Kirinyaga Gubernatorial Results 2022

Here are the Kirinyaga Governor Results for 2022 with which Anne Waiguru won with a small margin against her main competitor Wangui Ngirici.

This comes after an evidence cited by advocate Julie Soweto claiming that the presidential and Gubernatorial votes cast in Kirinyaga don’t match and reflect a huge difference.

However, on a clear truth meter, it is determined that the differences in the valid votes and the spoilt votes are not as stated by the lawyer in the Supreme court as an affidavit.

The Debate & Difference

Lawyer Julie Soweto indicated that the difference was about 23,000 votes which made no sense where these votes came from in presidential and not in the governor results. The difference is however, noted to be 900 votes which could be led by the stray ballots that are not included in the votes cast.

Globe Answer sought to find out the cause of this error which is seen to be brought about the names of the candidate not appearing on the same page on results released from Kirinyaga Tallying Center.

The first candidate, Charles Kibiru, appears to be in a separate page unlike the rest of the candidates. He holds a total of 22,065 votes.

This is likely to lead to the confusion on the votes cast on president and the governor leading to the said 23k difference.
