Biography and Early Life

William Ruto tracks his origin in Kamagut, Rift Valley Province, where he was born on 21 December 1966. He is the son of Daniel and Sarah Cheruiyot. Like many politicians who trace their political career from their parents, their parents do not have any history of being politicians.

He swapped his post with Sally Kosgei on 21 April 210 and posted it to the Higher Education Ministry. However, Ruto was relieved from his ministerial duties but remained an MP.
