Marcus Bettinelli commenced his career at Fulham while at the age of 14 years in the year 2006. Following his joining to Fulham, he joined the Fulham Academy and learned goalkeeping skills with this father, Vic Bettinelli, being one of the goalkeeping coaches.
Bettinelli stayed at the Fulham Academy till July 2010 whereby he signed his first professional contract.
