Biography and Early Life
Mauricio Ochmann was born in Washington, D.C., on November 16, 1977. Ochmann was never introduced to his biological parents and spent his early years with his adoptive mother, Maria, and her first husband, Guillermo, whom she eventually divorced. Following their divorce, Mauricio and his mother relocated to Mexico, where the actor’s mother began dating German Thomas Ochmann and lived with his brothers Thomas, Christian, and Paulo. Years later, Mauricio relocated to Los Angeles, where he studied acting at Santa Monica’s Joanne Baron Studi.
He is best known in Mexico for his roles in telenovelas such as Amarte Asi, in which he played Ignacio “Nacho” Reyes. Additionally, he appeared in Kevin Costner’s film Message in a Bottle, as well as the television series. That’s Life and Latino Green. He starred in Telemundo’s Dame Chocolate as Fabián Duque.
