Biography and Early Life
Mauricio Ochmann was born in Washington, D.C., on November 16, 1977. Ochmann was never introduced to his biological parents and spent his early years with his adoptive mother, Maria, and her first husband, Guillermo, whom she eventually divorced. Following their divorce, Mauricio and his mother relocated to Mexico, where the actor’s mother began dating German Thomas Ochmann and lived with his brothers Thomas, Christian, and Paulo. Years later, Mauricio relocated to Los Angeles, where he studied acting at Santa Monica’s Joanne Baron Studi.
He is best known in Mexico for his roles in telenovelas such as Amarte Asi, in which he played Ignacio “Nacho” Reyes. Mauricio showed an early interest in performance by participating in various local activities and works, but it wasn’t until he was 16 that he got his first professional opportunity on Héctor Suárez’s TV show La Otra Cosa.
