Biography and Early Life
Harry Kalaba was born on 12 June 1976, with his full name being Harry Kalaba. His parents’ and siblings’ names are yet to be identified as he has not shared them with the public. He was born in the Bahati Constituency, where he later became a Member of Parliament in 2011 and in the 2016 elections. Harry Kalaba has not yet shared details regarding his early life on where he grew and where he was raised.

All through, Harry Kalaba has been in the political career through which all his interests have been in the political field. During his early political career, he commenced with being a Minister of Foreign Affairs in the period of March 2014 to January 2018. This was through his former party known as the Patriotic Front (PF).
Nevertheless, he later resigned from the party and from his position as a Minister in Foreign Affairs in January 2018, citing his reason for resigning on the rampant corruption and greed in the Patriotic Front (PF) that was in rule.
While serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, he was also the elected Member of Parliament for Bahati Constituency under the Patriotic Front (PF) party. Before this, he was also the Member of Parliament for Bahati Constituency when he got the position in the year 2011 during the 2011 general elections.
Upon his resignation as a Minister for Foreign Affairs, he, however, retained the position of being the Member of Parliament for Bahati Constituency. Nevertheless, he was expulsed from PF for gross misconduct, which led him to resign from being the Bahati Member of Parliament on 28 January 2019.
After his expulsion from the Patriotic Front (PF), Kalaba then became the president of the Democratic Party that was previously headed by Emmanuel Mubanga Mwamba before 2018. He never challenged his expulsion from the party as he chose to concentrate on building Democratic Party. His new party did not participate in the 2019 by-elections for Bahati Constituency has the focus was on building the party for the 2021 general elections.
