Ezekiel Guti was a well-known Zimbabwean Pastor, Apostle, and Archbishop. He was famous as the founder of Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa [ZAOGA], which is a Pentecostal Christian Church that broke away from a South African Pentecostal Church, the Apostolic Faith Mission. ZAOGA is known as internationally as Forward in Faith Ministries International and is the headquarters in Waterfalls, Harare in Zimbabwe.

Ezekiel Guti was born on 5th May 1923 in Ngaone, Chipinge, and Manicaland Province, Rhodesia, located in Zimbabwe. He had revealed neither his parents nor siblings. His parents named him Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti after birth. He had been a pastor for over 50 years and spoken in several countries where the church is established in over 143 nations, with over 2000 churches in Southern Africa.

Ezekiel Guti demise was on Wednesday, 5th July 2023 through an official announcement done through a video posted on the church’s social media pages by his Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) church which he founded in 1960.
“It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the promotion to great glory of our dearly beloved spiritual father, visionary and iconic leader Archbishop Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti. He peacefully departed from this world today, Wednesday, July 5, 2023,”.

Guti celebrated his centenary Birthday, which was also his last birthday on May 5, 2023, with President Emmerson Mnangagwa in attendance.
His death was prophesied by Prophet Passion Java on 5th May 2023 when he celebrated the Man of God during his 100 years birthday. He noted through his social media pages that he saw celestial beings celebrating his coming home and saw one holding a trumpet saying it is time and the time is now. He told the archbishop that he had fought a good fight and kept the faith.
In his final remarks, Prophet Passion Java asked Archbishop Dr Guti to keep his house in order as it would be divided into two after his departure.

Archbishop Dr. Ezekiel Guti had not revealed his lower and high school levels. However, he held a Bachelor of Christian Education and a Doctorate from Northgate Graduate School and Zoe College located in the United States of America. His academic credentials are BA; MA; DD; D.Min and a Ph.D. in Religion.
Ezekiel Guti is the founder of Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University in Bindura-Zimbabwe. This university has grown massively attracting many students among gaining popularity of being the first Pentecostal University in Zimbabwe.

Ezekiel Guti was a married man to an archbishop and a prophetess known as Eunor Guti. The couple had been married for 44 years since 5th January 1979 before his death, and together, they bored one child, a son called Ezekiel Jr. Guti. Their son suffered from speech impairment and physical disabilities and was drowned in a swimming pool in 2017 while at the age of 35 years.
Before marrying prophetess Eunor Guti, Ezekiel Guti had remained in bachelorhood for more than 15 years. This was due to the death of his first wife known as Carol Guti.
Together with the first wife, Carol Guti, they had been blessed with 7 children. However, 3 of his 7 children with his first wife passed away. From his children, he had several grandchildren who he really loves and are committed to the ministry.
Ezekiel Guti had no idea of marrying again till elders in the church saw that he really needed a helper following the phenomenal growth of ZAOGA. As a result, elders prayed and fasted sorting God’s guidance on the marital destiny of the Archbishop.

Professional Career
Ezekiel Guti’s career in the ministry as a pastor, archbishop, and apostle began under a gum tree in Bindura, Zimbabwe in 1960. After years, he founded the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa [ZAOGA], a Pentecostal Christian Church that broke away from a South African Pentecostal Church. The church is established in over 143 nations and with over 2000 churches in Southern Africa. He also founded seven Bible colleges called Africa Multination for Christ College, with three in Zimbabwe, two in Mozambique and one in Zambia, and one in Ghana.
Ezekiel also founded several ministries like Forward in Faith Children’s Home, Children’s Ministry, Africa Christian Business Fellowship, and the Gracious Women’s Fellowship, along with the Husband’s Agape International Fellowship. He had also written over 69 books on his teachings. Internationally, he accepts invitations to preach in various African nations like the United States, the Bahamas, and Europe. Also, he had preached and spoken in colleges, Bible Schools, universities, televisions, and radio programs.
Ezekiel’s desire to believe came after his mother heard a man preaching about the perishing of all sinners. He had a sleepless night and asked his mother the next day to show him the man who was going to tell him about Jesus. He had no one to teach him took himself to the jungle to seek deliverance from the wrath that awaited all sinners, as his mother told him. He cried, ‘CREATOR IF YOU ARE THERE SAVE MY SOUL.’ His experience in life changed after an angel appeared to him after laying under a tree day after day and told him, ’FEAR NOT, SIN NOT.’
Additionally, in his career, Ezekiel Guti initiated the building of Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University in Bindura-Zimbabwe, where there were some controversies on land with Mbuya Dorcas Hospital in Waterfalls-Harare. This university has grown massively attracting many students among gaining popularity of being the first Pentecostal University in Zimbabwe.
