Again, he made 49 appearances during his loan spell at Leeds United, scoring once and providing 2 assists in all the competitions as Leeds was promoted to the Premier League as League Champions.

At the end of 2020, he signed a new four-year contract with Brighton and made his league debut for Brighton in a 3-1 home loss against Chelsea and went off injured. He again played in Brighton’s 3-2 home victory over champions Manchester City. He made 39 appearances for the club in all the competitions.
